Elizabeth Olsen has joined the cast of RatPac Entertainment and Bron Studios’ I Saw The Light, the film about the life of country western singer Hank Williams. Deadline’s Mike Fleming broke the news this summer that Tom Hiddleston nabbed the Williams role and will be singing classics like “Your Cheatin’ Heart”, “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry” and “Hey Good Lookin’”. Olsen will play Williams’ wife Audrey Mae. Marc Abraham is directing from his own script about Williams’ meteoric rise to fame, and the price that fame took on his personal life. He died at age 29 of heart failure.

Pic is based on the biography by Colin Escott and is produced by RatPac’s Brett Rather and Bron Studios’ Aaron L. Gilbert, along with G. Marq Roswell and Abraham. James Packer will executive produce for RatPac Entertainment. I Saw The Light is also a Creative Wealth Media Finance co-production. Olsen recently completed filming her superhero role in Marvel’s Avengers: The Age of Ultron after co-starring in Legendary’s monster hit Godzilla. She’s repped by The Gersh Agency, Brillstein Entertainment and Sloane, Offer, Weber and Dern, LLP.

Charlie Hunnam is director Guy Ritchie’s choice to play King Arthur in the Warner Bros.-Village Roadshow medieval tentpole.

Elizabeth Olsen is the frontrunner for the female lead. Idris Elba is attached to play a Merlin-esque figure who trains and mentors Arthur.

Hunnam, who stars in “Sons of Anarchy,” read for the part recently along with Henry Cavill and Jai Courtney.

Joby Harold wrote the the script and is producing with Akiva Goldsman and Tory Tunnell. Plot details are under wraps with the film set to open on July 22, 2016.

Disney released “King Arthur” in 2004 starring Clive Owen and Keira Knightley. Warners had been developing an “Arthur and Lancelot” project with David Dobkin directing and Kit Harington starring, but the project never made it into production.

Martha Marcy May Marlene actress Elizabeth Olsen has officially joined The Avengers sequel Age of Ultron.

Samuel Jackson, who will reprise his role as “Nick Fury” in the upcoming sequel to the colossally successful adventure film, confirmed the news in an interview with The Wall Street Journal.

Jackson revealed that Olsen, the younger sister of twin actresses Mary-Kate and Ashley, will play “Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch,” who has the ability to manipulate probability.

“… We added Ms. Olsen, but I don’t know what she’s doing, if she’s on the inside or the outside. I haven’t seen a script.” Jackson said.

Production on The Avengers: Age of Ultron, which is slated for a 2015 release, is set to begin in March 2014.

Bleeding Cool is reporting that Lizzie might be in talks to star in the upcoming Avengers movie titled The Avengers: Age of Ultron as The Scarlet Witch.

According to my sources, Saoirse Ronan has passed on the role of Wanda Maximoff, The Scarlet Witch, in The Avengers: Age of Ultron despite being, at some point or another, Joss Whedon‘s top pick for the role.

Unfazed, however, Whedon and Marvel then moved their attentions on to Elizabeth Olsen.

I always feel awkward reporting on these “second choice” moments, but then I remember how Harrison Ford probably hasn’t ever woken up in a cold sweat from a Tom Selleck nightmare and I feel a bit better about it.

Olsen is a great choice, I think, because she’s a pretty good choice for anything. The girl can act, she’s got charisma and she’s smart.

Now, the concept of Wanda that Whedon is playing with can’t incorporate the part of her comic book history where – surprise! – Magneto was revealed to be her father. He’s got everything else to pay with, however, not to mention whatever he can invent himself.

As I understand it, Olsen would need to adopt a “European” accent for the role, but that’s not such a big deal. Tougher will be standing her ground amidst an established cast of top-drawer actors and crowd pleasers that everybody in the audience already loves from the first Avengers film, not to mention their own pictures.

But then, she’s pretty darn likeable, and it’s reputedly a real scene-stealer of a part, so…

In short, I think it’s coming up roses for the Scarlet Witch. Now let’s see if Olsen ends up officially signed on…

Production on The Avengers: Age of Ultron should kick off in the first few weeks of 2014. We’ll next be seeing Olsen in Kill Your Darlings – for a few scenes anyway – Oldboy, Therese, and Godzilla.

Miles Teller is having a killer weekend. Not only is his critically acclaimed “The Spectacular Now” opening today, now comes word via The Wrap that the rising star is one of the frontrunners for the Mr. Fantastic role in Josh Trank’s reboot of “Fantastic Four.” The trade also adds that Elizabeth Olsen is in the mix as well, presumably for the role of Sue Storm, aka Invisible Woman.

Again, I’m not saying Miles Teller, Allison Williams or Michael B. Jordan have been cast, just that they’re the names I hear most often.

There are plenty of rumors about ELIZABETH OLSEN too but she doesn’t have a movie coming out today… #FantasticFour

Olsen just wrapped her first go at a big blockbuster franchise hopeful, Gareth Edwards’ reboot of “Godzilla.” She too is more known for smaller indie films, stunning Sundance with “Martha Marcy May Marlene” two years ago. She’ll next be seen opposite Josh Brolin in Spike Lee’s remake of “Oldboy.”

It has been confirmed that Miles Teller will not star in the reboot. No word on Elizabeth yet.
