Lizzie Attends PrimeTime Emmys!

First off, I must apologized as these are very late. Sadly, I’ve had these on my MacBook waiting to upload but I was going on vacation and still up here in Vermont (leaving Wednesday, sad face interested) and I didn’t have time to get them into the gallery. With the weather being in the 50’s and it rainy what better way then to upload them now!

Sadly, Lizzie didn’t win any Emmys and lost out to a different actress. Can we take a second or more to admire how stunning Elizabeth looked on the red carpet? But I am sure we can all agree that Lizzie should have won as her performance in WandaVision was very amazing and turned a lot of studio heads. Might I mention it was the number 1 Disney Plus Show?!

Sorry, Did Elizabeth Olsen Get Married?

It looks like congratulations may — may! — be in order, because actor Elizabeth Olsen may — may! — have married her fiancé of one-plus years, musician Robbie Arnett. Again, and I can’t emphasize this enough, may. Absolutely nothing is confirmed at this juncture, save for the fact that Olsen made an offhand comment suggesting she may have gotten married at some point.

On Tuesday, you see, Variety published an “Actors on Actors” interview between Olsen and Kaley Cuoco. Apparently, the WandaVision actor’s fans went wild when one of the publication’s editors-at-large called attention to a subtle detail from the exchange.

Explaining that she had to do the interview from her bathroom because of a neighbor’s noisy construction, and that she had just returned from a seven-month stint in the U.K., Olsen seemed to spot something surprising out of frame. She told Cuoco:

I also just noticed that my husband put Little Miss Magic — you know, the Little Miss books? They’re these classic books, but magic because of WandaVision, because he’s such a fucking cutie.

Did you catch that?! Not “my fiancé,” not “my partner,” not “my boyfriend,” but “my husband,” a “cutie.” Sounds pretty specific to me. Arnett and Olsen started dating sometime in 2017, and got engaged in July 2019. So it would make sense if they had done the thing by now, and just kept it to themselves, because privacy is important. Or maybe it was only a little slip, and we are reading too much into it, really I couldn’t say. Best wishes all the same!

Elizabeth Olsen makes big ‘WandaVision’ announcement

WandaVision was considered a critically acclaimed hit, but fans who want to see a second season of Wanda Maximoff’s witchy adventures on Disney+ may be out of luck.

While virtually interviewing each other for Variety’s Actor on Actor series, stars Kaley Cuoco and Elizabeth Olsen took turns gushing to each other about their latest projects. (The Flight Attendant and WandaVision, respectively.) When Olsen asked when Cuoco would start filming her show’s second season, Cuoco returned the favor by trying to get Olsen to confirm if there would be a second season of WandaVision.

“No. No,” Olsen responded immediately. “It’s definitely a limited series.”

“Limited series,” Cuoco answered slyly, reminding Olsen that her show had said the same thing before it was renewed.

“I mean, I’m saying that,” Olsen said. “I don’t know. I mean, with Marvel, you can never say no. People die…”

When Cuoco shared her disappointment over losing a “major scoop for the world,” Olsen maintained that she would be “shocked” if there was another season. “The thing that I did learn through Sorry For Your Loss and WandaVision is that I love doing television,” the actress continued. “And I do miss, I think, the four-five week experience of making a film – it just feels so exciting and like camp for a little bit. But I think this six month experience of really hard work with the same people and it’s exhausting…it just feels really good.”

Marvel fans know there are no rules when it comes to the universe. But no one knows that better than Olsen, whose on-screen partner Paul Bettany, a.k.a. Vision, died at the hands of Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War and was brought back to the land of the living (kind of) for WandaVision. Olsen, however, has always had the mindset that WandaVision was supposed to be a “one and done” deal.

“It is a limited series. It’s a fully beginning, middle, end, and that’s it kind of thing,” she told People back in January before the show’s premiere.

Olsen will continue her Scarlet Witch journey in next year’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and where her character will go in the Marvel Universe after that is still a mystery. But according to Olsen, it probably won’t be back to Westview.

No, this is not an illusion; Marvel’s spellbinding sit-com WandaVision really won the Golden Popcorn for Best Show at the 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards on Sunday (May 16)!

In the final category of the night, the show that put the fictional city of Westview, New Jersey on the map beat out The Boys, Cobra Kai, Bridgerton, and Emily in Paris and solidified its place as everyone’s favorite television show with its fourth win of the night. Earlier in the evening, Kathryn Hahn won Best Villain for her portrayal of the bewitching antagonist Agatha Harkness, Elizabeth Olsen accepted the award for Best Performance in a Show for her poignant take on the grieving Wanda Maximoff, and the duo received the award for Best Fight.

Hahn and Olsen took to the stage together to accept the award and thanked the show’s fans for voting for them. “We are so proud, the two of us, on behalf of this show and this crew for this incredible honor. Thank you,” Hahn said.

Olsen took a slightly different approach since “it is MTV” and closed out the evening by reciting the “immortal words” of Des’ree’s ’90s hit “You Gotta Be” to the audience. “You gotta be bad, you gotta be bold, you gotta be wiser. You gotta be hard, you gotta be tough, you gotta be stronger,” Olsen said. “You gotta be cool, you gotta be calm, you gotta stay together. All I know, all I know, is love will save the day.”
