Lizzie Attends PrimeTime Emmys!

First off, I must apologized as these are very late. Sadly, I’ve had these on my MacBook waiting to upload but I was going on vacation and still up here in Vermont (leaving Wednesday, sad face interested) and I didn’t have time to get them into the gallery. With the weather being in the 50’s and it rainy what better way then to upload them now!

Sadly, Lizzie didn’t win any Emmys and lost out to a different actress. Can we take a second or more to admire how stunning Elizabeth looked on the red carpet? But I am sure we can all agree that Lizzie should have won as her performance in WandaVision was very amazing and turned a lot of studio heads. Might I mention it was the number 1 Disney Plus Show?!

WANDAVISION BEST SHOW WIN GETS A LYRICAL TOAST FROM ELIZABETH OLSEN

No, this is not an illusion; Marvel’s spellbinding sit-com WandaVision really won the Golden Popcorn for Best Show at the 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards on Sunday (May 16)!

In the final category of the night, the show that put the fictional city of Westview, New Jersey on the map beat out The Boys, Cobra Kai, Bridgerton, and Emily in Paris and solidified its place as everyone’s favorite television show with its fourth win of the night. Earlier in the evening, Kathryn Hahn won Best Villain for her portrayal of the bewitching antagonist Agatha Harkness, Elizabeth Olsen accepted the award for Best Performance in a Show for her poignant take on the grieving Wanda Maximoff, and the duo received the award for Best Fight.

Hahn and Olsen took to the stage together to accept the award and thanked the show’s fans for voting for them. “We are so proud, the two of us, on behalf of this show and this crew for this incredible honor. Thank you,” Hahn said.

Olsen took a slightly different approach since “it is MTV” and closed out the evening by reciting the “immortal words” of Des’ree’s ’90s hit “You Gotta Be” to the audience. “You gotta be bad, you gotta be bold, you gotta be wiser. You gotta be hard, you gotta be tough, you gotta be stronger,” Olsen said. “You gotta be cool, you gotta be calm, you gotta stay together. All I know, all I know, is love will save the day.”

EE British Academy Film Awards

On Sunday evening Lizzie attended the BAFTAs where she was nominated for the Rising Star award. Unfortunately she did not win it, Juno Temple did, but it was still great to see her there! She looked stunning in a Chanel dress! Photos of the arrivals and the after party have been added to our gallery thanks to Nicole!

Elizabeth nominated for Rising Star Award

Elizabeth Olsen is among the five nominees for the 2013 EE Rising Star award voted on by the public and presented during the British Academy Film Awards.

Olsen, whose acting resume includes Martha Marcy May Marlene and Silent House, made it onto a list drawn up by a jury, which included Benedict Cumberbatch.

Olsen described being considered for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts award as a “huge honor,” adding “so many actors whom I admire have been recognized in this category, and I’m very thankful to BAFTA and the jury for selecting me.”

But with the award being voted on by the British public, Olsen faces stiff competition. Also vying for the popular vote is Andrea Riseborough who just finished shooting Oblivion opposite Tom Cruise.

Suraj Sharma, a 19-year-old girl from New Delhi, India, who beat 3,000 challengers to star in Ang Lee’s Life of Pi, is also in the running.

Juno Temple, whose turn in Atonement with Keira Knightley, Saoirse Ronan and former Rising Star winner James McAvoy came after her breakthrough as Cate Blanchett’s daughter in Notes on a Scandal, is also nominated.

Swedish-born Alicia Vikander is also nominated after turns in Anna Karenina opposite Keira Knightley and Jude Law and the period drama A Royal Affair with Mads Mikkelsen.

The winner will be announced during the EE British Academy Film Awards on Feb. 10.
